CANTERBURY, Conn. (WFSB) - Canterbury Volunteer Fire Company responded to multiple emergency calls on Sunday afternoon, beginning with a car versus pole crash.
At about 12:36 p.m., Canterbury VFC was dispatched to the area of 246 Water St. for reports of a car versus pole accident. Authorities said the driver didn’t suffer any major injuries, but was quickly transported to the hospital.
Soon after the scene was placed under control, units were dispatched to two calls simultaneously — one for a fire alarm and another for a medical emergency. Scotland VFD and Central Village FD were dispatched per automatic aid agreements to assist.
Canterbury VFC thanked its mutual aid departments for their help during the busy day.
