Lisa Leeper has been a Dublin Bus driver for five years and is well used to picking up night shifts all across the network.
“Working a night shift can be very busy,” she said. “You have to look out for people, watch where they’re standing, how they’re getting on the bus, if they’re a bit wobbly and keep them downstairs if they are.
“It’s my job to make sure nobody falls down the stairs and call out to people to stay off the stairs.
“I remember repeating myself so many times one night, saying, ‘Off the stairs’ that the last guys getting off the bus were slagging me.
