LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - Make sure to allow yourself some extra time as you are stepping out the door to work and school this morning.

We have a Dense Fog Advisory in place until 9 a.m. as visibility is greatly reduced for many locations.

Thankfully, plenty of sunshine will help to lift the fog as we head through mid-morning, but it will also set us up with a mild and muggy afternoon.

High temperatures are remaining above average once again this week as we are looking at lower 80s sticking around for the majority of the week.

Rain chances to start are staying on the lower end, so any outdoor plans you may have look okay for the time being!

A few stray showers are set to return as we head into Tuesday and Wednesday, but at this time look to remain mostly far and few between.
