INDIANAPOLIS — A 2-year-old boy is left injured after a hit-and-run crash on Indianapolis' south side Sunday afternoon. The driver who hit him allegedly came back later because "she has kids of her own."
IMPD officers responded to the 3900 block of Madison Avenue , near East Hanna Avenue, around 12:30 p.m. Nov. 16 for a report of a hit-and-run involving a child.
According to court documents, when officers arrived on scene they spoke to the 2-year-old boy's father who said that he and his son were walking across the parking lot when a Gray Ford Escape hit his son.
The driver was later identified by police as Lanyah Vaughn-Taylor, of Indianapolis.
Court documents say the father told police that his son was dragged a few feet under the front of the car.
