A man was shot in the chest in Cleveland, Tennessee on Sunday night, according to the police department. The suspect was arrested shortly after and faces several charges, including attempted second-degree murder.
Cleveland police identified the victim as David "Brody" Bishop, and identified the shooting suspect as Cameron Cox.
Officers found Bishop lying in the parking lot at 920 25th Street NW. He had a gunshot wound to the chest. EMS took him to a local hospital for treatment.
Witnesses of the shooting spoke to police and provided a description of the suspect and his vehicle, a maroon Lexus sedan.
Police say Cox arrived to the scene and briefly interacted with a group there. Witnesses say Cox pulled out a handgun, fired one shot into the air and then shot Bishop at close range.
