Interior high school hockey teams had a busy week with multiple matchups Tuesday through Saturday.
Tri Valley 4, Monroe Catholic 9
The Monroe Catholic Rams hosted the Tri Valley Vikings for a D2 Aurora conference game Tuesday night at the Big Dipper Ice Arena.
The game was close with the Vikings coming back from a 0-2 deficit after the Rams got on the scoreboard in the first period with goals from Boaz Goble and brother Gage. The Vikings answered back with a nice backhand shot from Quincy Hjorth who had two defenders hanging on him to end the period 1-2.
The Vikings tied the game early in the second when Hjorth exited the penalty box, took a pass in the neutral zone, skated to the goal and was able to lift the puck past Rams goalie Rayah Thompson to tie the game 2-2. The Rams answered
