WILLIAMSBURG — What has become the city’s annual comedy festival is already gearing up for its next event early next year, and organizers are looking for participants.

The Last Word Comedy Festival has proven popular since it started a few years ago. The third festival, which runs Jan. 29 through Feb. 1, will feature “Whose Live Anyway?” — the touring live show with performers from the television comedy show “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” Cast members, including Ryan Stiles, Greg Proops, Jeff B. Davis and Joel Murray, will appear with musical director Laura Hall for a performance at the Glenn Close Theatre on Jan. 30.
