In what was likely its most complete performance to date this fall, the Mt. Hope High School football team demolished visiting East Greenwich, 34-0, in the semifinals of the 2025 Division III championship tournament played Saturday, Nov. 15, at Veterans Field in Warren.
The second-seeded Huskies improved to 8-2 overall and advanced to the league super bowl championship game opposite top-seeded Classical on Sunday, Nov. 23, at Cranston Stadium. Kickoff is 3:30 p.m.
The undefeated Purple (9-0) earned their spot in the final with a similarly decisive 42-7 victory over fourth-seeded Johnston on November 14.
The super bowl will be a rematch of the 2025 debuts for Classical and Mt. Hope, the guest Purple edging the Huskies, 18-17, back on September 12 also at Vets. Special teams
