Two young people killed in a devastating road crash in Ireland along with a Scottish woman at the weekend had only just returned from a holiday in Dubai. ‌

Teacher Chloe McGee, 23, from Carrickmacross, Co Monaghan, and her boyfriend Alan McCluskey, 23, from Drumconrath, Co Meath, were among five friends who lost their lives on Saturday evening when the Volkswagen Golf they were travelling in collided with a Toyota Land Cruiser on the L3168 in Co. Louth. ‌

The other victims were Chloe Hipson, 21, from Lanarkshire , Dylan Commins, 23, from Drumconrath, and Shay Duffy, 21, from Carrickmacross. A sixth man who was also in the Golf survived but is being treated in hospital for serious, though not life-threatening injuries. ‌
