A 22-year-old Sault Ste. Marie woman has been charged after allegedly throwing small objects at a security officer during an incident at a Bay Street business last week.
Police say officers were called around 12:30 p.m. on Nov. 13 after 911 communicators received a report of an assault at a business in the 200 block of Bay Street.

When officers arrived, they found the accused, Jessie Caithcart, already detained by security staff.
According to police, Caithcart had been asked to leave the premises when she allegedly threw a handful of small items at a security officer. The officer was not injured.
Caithcart was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon, failing to comply with a probation order, and entering a premises when entry is prohibited under the Trespass
