On Monday at 12:19 p.m. the National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory in effect until Tuesday at 10 a.m. for Cayuga, Onondaga, Madison, Cortland and Chenango counties.
The weather service states to expect, "Additional snow accumulations between 2 and 6 inches, with the highest amounts across central Onondaga and western Madison counties."
"Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact this evening's and Tuesday morning's commutes," explains the weather service. "Slow down and use caution while traveling.
