A teenage boy was allegedly kidnapped and robbed in Melbourne’s west last week.
The 16-year-old was walking along Hollis Way in Truganina about 10.45pm on Saturday, November 8 when he was approached by four unknown offenders.
The boy was allegedly assaulted and forced into an allegedly stolen car where the offenders demanded he withdraw cash from an ATM and transfer money electronically.
Suffering minor injuries, the boy was then dropped off about 4km away on Edgevale Way in Tarneit.
Following investigations two 17-year-old boys have been charged with kidnapping, false imprisonment, robbery, theft and assault.
One of the boys has been remanded and the other has been bailed to appear at a children’s court at a later date.
“The investigation remains ongoing,” Victoria Police said.
