Rhode Island State Police troopers were called to the crash site shortly after 11:30 p.m. Saturday in West Warwick. Six people were in a silver Toyota that had left the interstate and crashed into a tree. Firefighters had to cut them all from the mangled wreckage.

Ayanna Voyak, 19, of Hartford, died before paramedics could get her to a hospital. Aisha Jules, 19, of New London, died at an area hospital shortly after the crash, Rhode Island State Police said.

The others in the car were also taken to area hospitals, but police did not provide updates on their conditions.
