PAYETTE COUNTY, Idaho — Stacey Wondra, the man accused of kidnapping and killin g Michael Vaughan, appeared virtually for his arraignment hearing Monday morning from the Payette County Jail, marking the latest development in a case that has spanned more than four years.
The routine hearing lasted approximately 10 minutes, with Wondra appearing via video conference.
Court records show Wondra faces charges of first-degree murder, kidnapping, destruction of evidence, and a persistent violator charge in connection with the death of Vaughan, who was 5 years old when he disappeared in July 2021 from outside his home in Fruitland.
