A busy area in Glasgow city centre has been cordoned off after two pedestrians were struck by a vehicle.

Emergency services rushed to the West Regent Street and Wellington Street area at around 4pm on Monday. One pedestrian was taken to hospital, while the other was checked by paramedics at the scene, Police Scotland said.

The condition of the pedestrian taken to hospital is currently unknown.

The road has since reopened, and an investigation is underway.

The incident took place on West Regent Street, near the junction with Wellington Street.
