Ministry of Natural Resources is asking for the public’s help in identifying those responsible for killing and abandoning a bull moose near Hearst, north of Sault Ste Marie.
On Oct. 27, a local forestry company reported finding the bull moose in a cut block at the end of P-6 Road, near a strip road and wood pile. Investigators believe the animal was shot between Oct. 24 and Oct. 26.

“This is a serious offence, and the ministry is committed to holding those responsible accountable,” an MNR release said Monday.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the ministry’s TIPS line toll-free at 1-877-847-7667, or reach out to a ministry office. Also report anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
