Rouses Markets is expanding its Gulf Coast footprint, announcing plans to acquire ten Winn-Dixie grocery stores in Louisiana and Mississippi. The deal, made with Southeastern Grocers, which is the parent company of Winn-Dixie, is expected to be finalized in early 2026.

The Winn Dixie stores located in New Orleans East, Destrehan, Franklinton, Gramercy, Central, Hattiesburg, and additional sites across the Northshore and Westbank will be rebranded under the Rouses Markets banner. This will bring the family-owned grocer to 76 locations across three states.
