LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Neighbors in what’s usually a quiet neighborhood woke up Sunday morning to cars with smashed windows.

“I know it was a pretty regular thing maybe 15 years ago,” a woman, who wanted to remain anonymous, told WAVE News. “But this is the first time in a long time.”

The neighbor said those living near her are shaken up, and she is now worried she might be targeted next.

“I feel not as safe as I felt before,” she confessed. “And I had seen the reports, over the last few months of this happening in different neighborhoods, so I was aware of it and tried to be careful to lock my car and all of that.”

Some of those reports come from District 12 in the South End, where councilman Jonathan Joseph said car break-ins are a rising concern.
