PEORIA ( 25News Now ) - A Peoria teenager will be tried as an adult for allegedly firing gunshots at a home in the East Bluff three months ago.

Judge Katherine Gorman also ordered Tabias J. Kelley, 18, to remain in custody while his case is pending.

Kelley was 17 and considered a juvenile when a home in the 300 block of East Virginia Avenue was hit four times by gunfire Aug. 19. Investigators found shell casings in the roadway, according to a release from the Peoria County State’s Attorney’s Office.

No one was injured, but the homeowner told investigators Kelley called earlier in the day, threatening to shoot the family.

Kelley is charged with aggravated discharge of a firearm.

Judge Gorman granted the state’s motions to transfer the case to adult Court and to keep him in custody.
