TOWN OF TONAWANDA, N.Y. — The Town of Tonawanda is preparing for a packed board meeting this week as residents are expected to raise concerns about recent crime trends in their neighborhoods. The discussion comes as the Town of Tonawanda Police Department has began posting weekly crime statistics on its official Facebook page.
According to the department’s update for the first week of November, the town recorded two burglaries, four stolen vehicles, and 26 arrests. Officials say the goal of sharing these numbers is to improve transparency and keep residents informed about what’s happening in their community.
