A man was arrested Friday night after he was allegedly found with a bloody knife following a reported stabbing at a park in Bridgeport, police said.
Evens Dorvelus, 46, was located by officers walking on Laurel Avenue around 9 p.m., just minutes after the attack at Wood Park near the intersection of Wood Avenue and Benham Avenue, according to the Bridgeport Police Department .
Police alleged that he had a blood-covered knife in his possession when he was taken into custody.
The 37-year-old victim was transported by ambulance to St. Vincent’s Hospital, where he underwent surgery for a wound to his neck, according to police.
