A former SIG Sauer employee has been indicted for wire fraud and dealing in firearms without a license after allegedly using his company discount to purchase and then resell multiple firearms.
The Oct. 22 indictments allege that Patrick Goulet, 34, of Manchester, resold firearms he purchased as part of the company’s discount offer, even though SIG Sauer prohibits employees from reselling or using the discount to make a profit, according to the federal complaint.
Goulet, who worked as a machinist at SIG Sauer’s U.S. headquarters in Newington, allegedly used his co-workers’ names and badge numbers to obtain the discounted guns. He was fired by the company in November 2023.
According to the indictments, Goulet is alleged to have sold hundreds of the discounted products from Aug. 5, 2021, t
