KILLEEN, Texas — Dr. King Davis has officially been approved as the new Superintendent of Killeen ISD.
The KISD Board of Trustees voted to approve Davis as Superintendent at a meeting on Monday, Nov. 17. Davis has served as Interim Superintendent of the district since Aug. 11, and was named lone finalist for the position on Oct. 20 .
Killeen ISD said the Board's decision follows community input and trustee discussion about the qualities needed in the next leader of the district. The Board said Davis reflects the values they heard from the community: experience, stability, transparency and a "clear commitment to students and staff."
