SHREVEPORT, La. - Caddo Parish Commissioner Chris Kracman announced Monday he will introduce a special resolution honoring a Vivian police officer who was killed in the line of duty Friday night.

Commission Chair Stormy Gage-Watts decided to introduce it at the work session.

“I’ll be introducing a special resolution today and it will be officially voted on Thursday to recognize the Vivian police officer who was killed Friday night,” Gage-Watts said. "Over the weekend I had the opportunity to speak with the mayor to extend our condolences to that officers family, to that town, to that law enforcement agency."

The commission also prayed for the fallen officer. Commissioners expressed support and acknowledged the sacrifice and service of the fallen officer.
