CEDAR COUNTY, Iowa (KWWL) - Three people were taken to University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City Monday evening following a crash in Cedar County.

The Iowa State Patrol say a Jeep Renegade was traveling westbound on 290th Street, west of Delta Avenue at 6 p.m. A Chevy Silverado was traveling eastbound when the Jeep crossed the center line and collided head-on with the Silverado.

Ryan Butler, 39 of Atalissa, Dillon Williams, 45 of Tipton, and Brian Laschke, 43 of Iowa City all were taken to the hospital for injuries.

The crash blocked off both lanes of traffic for some time.

Cedar County Sheriff's Office, West Branch Police Department, and West Branch Fire Department assisted on scene.
