Neighbors say their bills will be increasing, but they're worried the quality will not.
Tensions were high as parish leaders outlined plans to improve the infrastructure of the Cross Gates water system that serves more than 10,000 people. But parish leaders say it comes at a cost, anywhere between $30 to $90 extra on bills starting in January.
The enhancements include three new water towers and a new water well. Neighbors say they want improvements because they're still dealing with brown water and boil advisories.
