AT&T Data Breach Victims Have Weeks Left to Claim Data Breach Cash
Consumers affected by two major AT&T data breaches have just weeks left to seek compensation under a proposed $177 million settlement, according to the court-appointed administrator. Claims must be submitted by Dec. 18 for eligible class members to receive a payment.
The settlement, overseen by Kroll Settlement Administration, stems from breaches that compromised customer records in separate incidents. The larger fund, approximately $149 million, is designated for those impacted by the first breach, while $28 million has been set aside for the second, according to a preliminary approval order filed in June. Individuals who fall into both categories may qualify for compensation from each pool.
