Back-To-Back Storms Push Rainfall Totals to Historic Levels as LADWP Captures Rainwater
Rainfall totals from a series of back-to-back storm systems have pushed Los Angeles into one of its wettest Novembers on record, marking the city’s heaviest November precipitation since 1967, according to the National Weather Service.
More than 5.5 inches of rain have fallen across Los Angeles in the past eight days alone, making this the fifth wettest November ever recorded . The only wetter year in modern recordkeeping remains 1965, when the city logged 9.68 inches.
