Famous performing twins have reportedly ended their lives together in Germany.

According to multiple reports, including the German newspaper Bild , the Kessler twins died at their home near Munich by way of assisted suicide. The twins were 89.

Renowned throughout the world for their singing, dancing and acting in the 1950s and 1960s, Alice and Ellen Kessler were associated with some of the eras biggest stars such as Fred Astaire, Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley.

They appeared on shows like The Red Skelton Hour and The Ed Sullivan Show, which sent out a tribute on Tuesday calling the sisters “dazzling stars, true legends, and sisters whose grace, charm, and magic will shine forever,”

They also appeared as dancers in the 1963 film “Sodom and Gomorrah” and were featured on the cover of
