What is your favorite place to scuba dive? Well, after decades of teaching scuba diving, that’s a question I get a lot. And believe it or not, even though I’ve been diving on some of the most beautiful reefs in the world, one of my favorite dives was in a swimming pool.

It was a hot summer day, and we were conducting a Diveheart Scuba Experience program in a large outdoor community pool. We were using just a section of the pool for our adaptive scuba program while in another part of the pool a bunch of young girls were having a birthday pool party.
