A man who repeatedly raped a child over an eight-year period has been described as a 'monster'. Christopher Rudd, 34 was jailed yesterday (Monday, November 17) for his despicable crimes.

After a week-long trial, a jury unanimously found the 34-year-old guilty of 12 counts of raping a child, two counts of assault (ABH) and one of causing fear of violence. He was sentenced to 20 years in prison, and a further four years on licence.

Rudd, of Fenland Road, Wisbech, has also been placed on the sex offenders register for life and is subject to a sexual harm prevention order and indefinite restraining order. King’s Lynn Crown Court heard how the offences took place in the King’s Lynn area, CambridgeshireLive reports.
