WIGGINS, Miss. (WLOX) - There’s an increased law enforcement presence at Stone County High School Tuesday after a threat was found written on the wall of the girls bathroom Monday.
According to Stone County School District Superintendent Boyd West, the threat was vague, couldn’t be pinpointed to a particular person or class, and was found to be not credible.
As a safety precaution, law enforcement presence on campus was increased Monday and again on Tuesday.
“Kids will write things as an attempt to disrupt,” West told WLOX News. “We take them all seriously and investigate to ensure the safety of our campus.”
No lockdown was put into place, and school is operating as normal Tuesday morning.
