Marco Sturm had good news and bad news on two of his injured players.
Bruins center Elias Lindholm will travel out west with the team for a four-game road trip that begins Wednesday against the Anaheim Ducks, the coach told reporters after Tuesday’s optional skate.
Lindholm has been on injured reserve with a lower-body injury suffered on Oct. 30, and returned to practice earlier this week .
Charlie McAvoy , however, won’t travel. The defenseman took a puck off the face against the Montreal Canadiens and missed Monday’s tilt with the Carolina Hurricanes.
McAvoy fell to the ice immediately after the deflection — which left a good amount of blood on the ice — and was helped to the locker room.
An official update on McAvoy could come later Tuesday, per Boston.com’s Conor Ryan
