Aaron Rodgers suffered a slight fracture in his left wrist , but will avoid going under the knife.
The Steelers quarterback won’t need surgery, coach Mike Tomlin confirmed to reporters , but his status for Sunday against the Chicago Bears is unknown. Rodgers is not expected to practice Wednesday.
Rodgers is “ pushing to play ” in Week 12, but needs to be cleared by doctors. Whether he can play will be determined whether the veteran can grip a football.
“It’s about bracing it and securing it for his comfort and safety and then it’s about how functional it is,” Tomlin said .
The 41-year-old suffered the injury in the first half of the Steelers’ win over the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 11. It’s unclear when exactly Rodgers was injured .
