LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The magic of Christmas returns to west Louisville this year for Winter Wonderland, a drive-thru holiday light experience.

The free event will take place nightly beginning Dec. 19 through Dec. 21 from 6-10 p.m. at Shawnee Park.

According to OneWest, who will host the event, more than 200,000 LED lights will illuminate Shawnee Park alongside festive music, live performances and holiday characters.

Some of the displays will be designed by local companies like A.D. Porter, Ace Hardware, Fuller Center for Housing, PJ Six, Walmart and more.

One of the new elements added to the festivities will be students from McFerran Early Childhood, King and Byck Elementaries to create their own special displays to highlight school pride and neighborhood heritage.
