LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Norton West Louisville Hospital celebrated a major milestone this month.
Nov. 11 marked one year since the doors to the hospital first opened to patients and staff.
“We promised to help improve health equity in West Louisville and make access to care easier,” Russell F. Cox, the president and CEO of Norton Healthcare, said. “We’ve heard countless stories about how this facility is making a difference, whether it’s connecting people to primary care, making prescriptions more accessible through the retail pharmacy, supporting preventive screenings or providing nutritious food through the on-site food pantry.”
In that time, the hospital has:
Served patients 58,500 times
Provided 12,000 meals through its food pantry
Filled nearly 53,500 prescriptions
Helped 2,132
