After surviving a polar vortex that sent temperatures dropping across much of the nation, you may be wondering if we should be bracing for more of the same.

But the forecast from the National Weather Service says we’re not due for truly chilling temperatures yet.

“Our recent bout of very windy and cold conditions (Sunday) will transition into gradually milder temperatures and much lighter wind for the week ahead,” read a recent post from the National Weather Service in State College’s Facebook page . “A few weak weather features at the surface and aloft will bring some light precipitation (mainly in the form of light rain) Tuesday afternoon and night and again Thursday night into Friday.”
