Half of UK men ignore potentially serious health issues - they're 'too embarrassed' View 3 Images
Over half of men across the UK have ignored potentially worrying signs of physical or mental health issues, with four in ten subsequently facing more severe complications, according to new research.
The study, which surveyed 5,000 men across the UK, found that a third admitted their wellbeing typically deteriorates during December. Alarmingly, one in five purposely avoid GP appointments over the festive period to avoid spoiling the mood for others and instead concentrate on Christmas preparations.
A quarter revealed that they're less likely to visit the gym during December, while 63% will overindulge in food, and 40% will drink more alcohol than at any other time of the year. View 3
