Blues, boogie and rock band ZZ Top and country singer Dwight Yoakam, on their "Dos Amigos" tour, will co-headline a 7 p.m. April 17 concert at North Little Rock's Simmons Bank Arena.
Tickets -- prices to be announced -- go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday via Ticketmaster.com.
ZZ Top formed in 1969 with Billy Gibbons on lead guitar, Dusty Hill on bass guitar and Frank Beard on drums. Elwood Francis, the band's longtime guitar technician, replaced Hill on bass following Hill's death in July 2021.
After getting his start in high school as an actor, Yoakam moved to Nashville in 1977 to pursue a music career. He "reverted" back to acting in the 1990s, in films that included "Red Rock West" and Billy Bob Thornton's Arkansas-shot "Sling Blade."
