Harold LeRoy "Roy" Zitting, 97, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2025, at Piedmont Columbus Regional – Northside Hospital in Columbus, Georgia, surrounded by close family members.

Roy was born on January 18, 1928, in Seattle, Washington. In 1935, his family moved to Wenatchee, where his father, John Zitting, started a produce business during the Great Depression. Through resilience and hard work, the business flourished—later known as John’s Grandway, and eventually Zitting’s Grocery and Department Store. From a young age, Roy worked alongside his siblings, learning the value of hard work and perseverance.
