Charlotte business sold $1.5M worth of vehicles to ICE months before CBP operation

Nearly three months before the Department of Homeland Security surged U.S. Customs and Border Patrol agents to Charlotte, the federal agency awarded a no-bid contract to Hendrick Motorsports, LLC, according to federal records. The actual amount paid to the company was just under $1.5 million, according to federal documents.
