U.S. lawmakers on Tuesday voted in favour of making the Epstein files public.
The House voted overwhelmingly in support of a bill to force the Justice Department to publicly release its files on convicted billionaire sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, following months of opposition from President Donald Trump and others within the Republican ranks.
Trump said he will sign the bill if it passes the Senate.
The bill passed 427-1, with the lone vote against coming from Rep. Clay Higgins, a Louisiana Republican and steadfast supporter of Trump who also chairs a subcommittee that initiated a subpoena on the Justice Department for the Epstein files.
