LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Norton West Louisville Hospital is celebrating its first year of service to the community.
Since the hospital opened on Nov. 11, 2024, staff have treated more than 58,000 patients. They’ve provided 12,000 meals through their partnership with Dare to Care. And helped more than 2,100 people find extra support outside their hospital rooms either with housing, transportation, and even employment.
“I use every resource, like the pharmacy here, and that’s where I met Mr. Charles Ramsey, of course,” Jamie Spears, Norton Oncology Medical Assistant, said. “He was in the pantry resource center. I expressed that I wanted a job, and he was like, ‘Oh, well, listen, let me guide you to the way of becoming a Norton, you know, healthcare employee.’ And that was the start of the
