ST. PAUL — Minnesota’s U.S. House members voted in favor of imploring the Department of Justice to release the Epstein files on Tuesday, Nov. 18.
The resolution passed with 427 yays, 1 nay, and 5 no-votes. The measure requesting the DOJ release its comprehensive investigation materials related to the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein now heads to the Senate — it’s unclear when the chamber could take up a vote.
House Democrats have been pushing for the release of the files for the last eight months. Rep. Betty McCollum, D-Minn., said it’s “appalling” that Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., and President Donald Trump “worked to delay” the vote.
