BENNINGTON — The victim of a years-long sexual assault, which started when he was just 4-years-old, testified in open court on Tuesday about the alleged abuse he suffered at the hands of the defendant, Levi Varno of Pownal.

Varno, now 30, is currently standing trial on four counts of sexual assault on a child. Two of the charges relate to the period between 2011 and 2013. The other two charges relate to incidents between 2013 and 2016. Each of the four counts carry the possibility of a life sentence if Varno is found guilty.
