FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Red Kettles are popping up around Fort Wayne as the Salvation Army’s 2025 campaign officially kicked off on Tuesday.

Each year, the Red Kettle Campaign rings in the holiday season, raising money for The Salvation Army’s community programs, including their food pantry and shelter services.

During the Red Kettle Breakfast on Tuesday morning, Bill Bean announced that Hanning & Bean is matching kettle donations dollar-for-dollar. Bean also donated $50,000 to support The Salvation Army’s food pantry as the organization, and other pantries across the city, are seeing an increased demand.

Volunteer bell ringers are already appearing at some locations across town, but the full rollout will happen on Black Friday, a spokesperson for The Salvation Army says.
