A woman was assaulted and robbed at knifepoint late Monday night, Nov. 17, in Rockland County.
The Ramapo Police Department said officers responded just before 11 p.m. on Monday to a reported robbery on East Hickory Street in Hillcrest.
According to Ramapo Police, the incident happened at about 10:45 p.m., when the victim was approached by a man wearing a mask and dark clothing. The suspect displayed a knife before taking the woman’s pink iPhone 15, black purse, and a small brown handbag, The Monsey Scoop reported.
The suspect fled the area on foot toward North Main Street, the outlet added.
The victim was seriously injured during the robbery and was hospitalized, police said. She is now in stable condition.
