U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. (KKTV) - The U.S. Air Force Academy (USAFA) announced on Tuesday that two cadets have been named Rhodes Scholars.
Cadets First Class Robert J. Miller and Anirvin Puttur have been selected to attend a fully funded postgraduate program at the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom in October 2026.
The Academy said Miller and Puttur are two of 32 Americans selected to attend. The Rhodes Scholars program reportedly received 2,800 applications from students at 264 institutions.
“This exceptional accomplishment by Cadet Miller and Cadet Puttur shows how the Academy’s integrated military training, academics and athletics prepare our cadets to compete for the nation’s most selective scholarships,” U.S. Air Force Academy Superintendent Lt. Gen. Tony D. Bauernfei
