COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - 11 News has obtained surveillance video of an officer-involved shooting in Colorado Springs.

According to police , officers responded to the Nevada Flats Hotel just before midnight on November 13 for a report of a burglary. They said officers were trying to contact the person who called 911 when three people left an apartment. Police said one man had a rifle and raised it at the officer, who fired multiple shots, hitting a man and a woman.

“I heard three shots, and I ran for my life,” one anonymous witness told 11 News. “I slammed my door, and I tried to get a hold of the manager.”

Management at the hotel shared surveillance footage of the shooting with 11 News.
