MANCHESTER, N.H. —
A dog is safe and recovering after disappearing nearly a month ago from his home in Nottingham.
Comet, a 4-year-old Shar Pei-Pit Bull mix, was found Monday by Granite State Dog Recovery. He had been missing for 28 days.

When Comet disappeared, he weighed 65 pounds. Now, he weighs just 32 pounds, about half his original size.
His owner said Comet was also found with porcupine quills in his shoulder.
He is receiving care at the vet and is expected to return home in a couple days.
